What is CSI?

CSI is a national association of 13,000 individual members, dedicated to improving facility performance through the advancement of building information management and education of project teams. The organization is unique in the industry in that its members are a cross-section of specifiers, architects, engineers, contractors, building materials suppliers, and related professionals. CSI is renowned in the industry for its rigorous certification programs for professionals seeking to improve their knowledge of accurate and concise construction documents and the roles of various project team members. CSI provides continuing education, professional conferences and product shows. Members also have the opportunity to communicate openly with their colleagues and exchange information for successful projects through 148 local Chapters. The North Central Region is CSI's largest, with over 2,500 members in twenty-two chapters, in nine states. The Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter CSI, with over four hundred members, is the the largest chapter, followed in the Region by the Chicago and the St. Louis Chapters. The North Central Region also has two of the newest chapters - La Crosse and Twin Ports.
